Open & Local Celebration

2024 Celebration: perspectives on food security

Friday • September 13, 2024 • HRDC Market Place • 5pm social hour + optional tours • 6:30pm dinner • 7pm panel

Celebrate our extensive and diverse local food community and the open land that feeds us, ‘belly & soul!’

First held in 2016, this grassroots event connects, recognizes and celebrates the diverse network of people working in our local food system and offers a fun, meaningful way to deepen our understanding of local food systems. As our community continues to struggle with growth and a rapidly accelerating affordability crisis, the 2024 gathering focused on food security.

GOAL:

Connect with people actively involved in local food systems, including farmers, health professionals, community leaders and those affected by food insecurity.

Hear different perspectives on food security directly from community members.

Enjoy a special menu prepared specifically for this event by Fork & Spoon.

To ensure everyone can afford to join this community gathering, tickets are available on a sliding scale.

Making Montana Foods Accessible to All Menu presented by Chef Aaron, Fork & Spoon

The menu is inspired by seasonal local products with diverse influences that have shaped our state's cuisine. The Fork & Spoon proudly embraces a Montana twist on the classic southern "Meat and Three" concept, highlighting local and seasonal ingredients. This menu features the same inspiration.
